Lubbock Texas Wedding Photographer: A Guide to Lubbock’s Wedding Venues

After moving here to Lubbock in March, I found out quickly how many beautiful wedding venues we have here! I know engagement season is upon us and there will be a lot of brides out there overwhelmed with planning! I decided to make a resource that you guys can reflect on and make your decisions at your most informed! As a Lubbock, Texas wedding photographer, this list is the best of the best that you can get in Lubbock!

The Willows Event Center

The Willows Event Center is a super sweet venue right in the heart of Lubbock. You wouldn’t know it stepping into their beautiful scene of willow trees and serene pond! This venue can host weddings up to 200 guests, has a separate bridal and grooms suite and has an indoor option for a seated reception! My favorite thing about this venue is accessibility. It’s so easy to get to and right down the street from a Wal-Mart for those last minute wedding purchases. Those older guests like your grandparents won’t have a hard time getting around to each space!

The Barns at Chip Ridge | Abingdon, VA

Bella Vie Wedding Venue

Bella Vie is a chic wedding venue on Slide Road that offers brides two options for indoor ceremonies! The Atrium boasts 25 foot ceilings, two chandeliers, and really gives off the open air vibe of being outside without being exposed to the Texas heat. The Chapel is a beautiful, all white ceremony space perfect for more intimate ceremonies. Bella Vie can host up to 250 guests in the Atrium. Bella Vie is perfect for those brides who want a luxury, chic space that can accommodate all their friends and family.

Eberly Brooks

Eberly Brooks is probably one of my favorite wedding venues in this area! It reminds me so much of the venues I cultivated my career at back home in Tennessee! The Barn – a 9,600 square foot rustic barn that can accommodate up to 400 of your guests. It has a catering kitchen, a bridal and grooms suite, and a beautiful outdoor patio area with a firepit and outdoor bar to keep the party going. The next ceremony spot is the Sage Chapel – a beautiful white washed chapel with wooden floors and 100 year old pine pews. This space can host up to 200 guests. Eberly Brooks is perfect for those rustic, traditional brides that want a beautiful backdrop to say their vows in front of.

Kitalou Gin

Kitalou Gin is a 100 year old rustic piece of Texas history! The gin can hold up to 400 guests for a ceremony and 300 for a seated reception. Kitalou offers four sites – the gin, the seed barn, the terrace and the gin yard! Surrounded by cattle fields and true West Texas environment, the Kitalou Gin gives bride an authentic West Texas wedding, while keeping it fun and unique.

Crooked River Farm | Hiltons, VA

There are so many different types of venues in and around Lubbock that are perfect for every type of bride out there! A few more to check out if you’re into beautiful outdoor settings are Llano Estacado, Autumn Oaks Event Center, and Spirit Ranch!

Regardless of which venue you choose, as a Lubbock, Texas wedding photographer that has been in the industry for over a decade, I have compiled a list of things you need to ask before you sign on the dotted line for your wedding venue!

  • How much is the deposit?
  • Is there a noise restriction?
  • What is included in the total?
  • Is there on-site parking, and is it accessible for people with disabilities?
  • Do we need to hire our own coordinator?
  • Who will be our point person as we plan our wedding?
  • Who will be our point person on our wedding day?
  • Can we meet that person during our tour?
  • What is the backup plan in case of inclement weather?
  • What is the cancellation policy?

And there you have it! Although that is definitely not an inclusive list of stuff you should ask while you’re touring all these beautiful venues, it should get you started. Happy wedding planning!
