I met up with Logan and Jake for their engagement session in Roan Mountain State Park. This location in the park is specifically one that offers 360 degree views of the Appalachian Mountains. The hike is just a short one up the side of the mountain through the beautiful pines. Primarily shooting wedding photography in Lubbock Texas, I always enjoy shooting on Roan Mountain and a chance to be back in my hometown! I am so thankful for the time that I get to spend with my couples there. This location is super convenient and easy to get to.
However, it is suffering from mass traffic, both foot and automobile. Parking is hectic and people often pull over off the road and parking areas. A huge part of my job as a photographer is to practice the Leave No Trace principles. It is important that us as guests of nature follow these rules so our beautiful area of Roan Mountain isn’t subject to closures like our neighbor over at Max Patch.
Logan and Jake first contacted me about shooting their wedding back in 2018. They live locally with their dog, Porter, and me being a dog person, I just knew it was a match made in heaven! These two got married at the always beautiful Camp at Buffalo Mountain in Jonesborough, TN. Their wedding was absolutely beautiful and the weather definitely gave us a run for our money! These two are now wonderful parents to a sweet little boy!
I absolutely loved shooting their wedding in Tennessee. Check out their wedding at The Camp at Buffalo Mountain here! >> Logan + Jake’s Stormy Summer Wedding
I shot this engagement session winter of 2018 in Tennessee. I am now booking engagement sessions and wedding photography in Lubbock Texas for the 2021-2022 season! Can’t wait to meet all you wonderful couples in Lubbock!
